It has been a while. The past two years have helped me understand myself better. From visiting Garden by the Bay with my kid more than 10 times to selling ironing boards on Shopee and becoming a top 3 (occasionally #1) monthly bestseller all within this two years. This journey has also led me to meet some special individuals, such as the CRO of a bank, ex-CFO and chairman of GLC companies, whom I would not have had the chance to meet if I had been working full-time. These meetings have evolved into weekly breakfast sessions.
However, after various hustling, I have learnt that a hobby cannot be a successful (enjoyable) side hustle. The goals and motivations will eventually conflict. Afterall, investment is a very private thing. These two years also led me to understand that a comfortable life does not necessarily equate to a good life and I still have a long runway. Armed with a new goal, there are much to accomplish. Will be joining a bank, a brand-new career that’s got nothing to do with investment. A hobby stays as a hobby while work stays as work. Now, I will just focus on “傻傻地做, 傻傻的干”. As much as I can, to also seek for balance in all aspects and to find peace in his will. For without him we could do nothing.
Ecclesiastes 9:11
New International Version
11 I have seen something else under the sun:
The race is not to the swift
or the battle to the strong,
nor does food come to the wise
or wealth to the brilliant
or favor to the learned;
but time and chance happen to them all.
Still bullish on China. Mojo is back, just a little more & back to 7figures. Some new holdings as per the recent months’ transaction dates (as per screenshot below). This time round a mixture of China & US stocks. Looking to buy more US stocks if it does test its lows. Also looking at crypto (namely Bitcoin & Ethereum) for a small speculative punt. If I ever come back to blogging, it will be of a new hidden identity.

Best Wishes to you in this Lunar New Year. May 2023 be filled with love, laughter, and all the good things in life. Best Wishes to you & your family.
